At Objective Travel Safety, we can help you to plan your expedition and give you advice on Safety, Security, Logistics, First Aid and Medical information, such as how to deal with Road Traffic Accident (RTAs).
We have been running Expedition Safety Courses for a number of years and we are very proud to have trained both Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman for ‘The Long Way Round’ and The Long Way Down’ Expeditions.
Our courses are very hands-on. For example, we do ask you to bring along the vehicle that you will be taking on the expedition. Our mechanic conducts some basic checks on the vehicle and gives essential vehicle advice and maintenance information so that you can keep your car running smoothly throughout the journey.
Safety and security is obviously paramount for the trip. We will give you important advice and useful scenarios (some by role-play) to ensure that, for example, crossing borders and checkpoints are uncomplicated and straightforward, as well as identifying and highlighting the travel risks you may encounter and how to stay safe whilst travelling abroad.
Our Expedition Medical day covers information from basic life support, control of bleeding, breaks and burns to how to handle road traffic accident situations together with knowledge on how to stay healthy and safe food, water as well as basic field hygiene.
The two expedition days are also great fun, very informative and extremely relaxed, and the course take places in rural Northamptonshire. So it is really just about how you and your group can make the most of this fantastic adventure and stay safe in the process. And if you are joining us for both days, you can even try out your camping gear and stay overnight in our fields!
Our Expedition Training Course is held at the end of June 2019, just a couple of weeks before the Mongol Rally commences, and the course will provide you with the knowledge and expertise to not only enjoy the experience, but to maximise your safety and even if you do have a few problems or concerns on the way, you will leave having the confidence handle them.

The two day course takes place on the 23rd and 24th June 2019. Day 1 is the General Planning and Logistics day and for day 2, the topics is based around First Aid and Medical training. We also have an additional General Planning and Logistics day on the 25th June for those unable to attend the 23rd.
